The gala dinner celebrated companies making progress in their sustainability journeys, acknowledging the contributions of award winners, finalists and organisations supporting sustainable development in Singapore.

A key highlight of the event was the introduction of the SEED programme, which seeks to connect students with business sustainability practices. Through educational and engagement opportunities, students will gain insights into how companies incorporate sustainability commitments into their operations and initiatives.

The programme also aims to expose young people to the practical challenges and opportunities involved in advancing sustainable business practices. By providing opportunities for students to learn directly about corporate sustainability efforts, SEED seeks to support the development of future talent and capabilities in this field.

The initiative reflects the importance of education and industry participation in supporting Singapore’s sustainability ambitions. Engaging young people in sustainability issues can help them better understand the role of businesses in addressing environmental challenges and contributing to long-term development.

UNGCNS also acknowledged the award recipients, finalists, participating companies and individuals contributing to sustainability efforts in Singapore.

The gala dinner highlighted the role of cooperation between businesses, educational institutions and the wider community in supporting a greener and more resilient Singapore. Through initiatives such as SEED, UNGCNS aims to encourage greater awareness of corporate sustainability practices while preparing younger generations to contribute to future sustainability efforts.
