H.E. Agustin García-López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico to Singapore, inaugurated Tequila and Mezcal Week, featuring over 35 venues across Singapore for a week of exceptional food and agave spirits.

Tequila and Mezcal Week was officially inaugurated at Papis Tacos, with the guest of honor, H.E. Agustin García-López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico to the Republic of Singapore, presiding over the event.

This exciting event promises a full week of culinary delights and agave spirits, with more than 35 venues participating across the island. Singapore, known as one of the top 10 importers of 100% Agave Tequila globally, also boasts a remarkable density of Mexican restaurants per square meter outside Mexico itself.

The Tequila and Mezcal Week serves as a tribute to the sustained efforts of individuals, companies, and organizations dedicated to promoting key aspects of Mexican “soft power”: its distinctive gastronomy and beverages.

Special thanks are extended to Mauricio Espinoza for generously hosting the kickoff event and to DORYS FIERRO from the Singapore/Mexico Chamber of Commerce for her coordination of this remarkable initiative.

Special thanks to Gerson Garduno, Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Mexico for the collaboration.
