Singapore prepares to showcase its innovative and sustainable vision at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan with the unveiling of ‘The Dream Sphere’.
Singapore is gearing up to make a significant impact at the upcoming Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, running from 13 April to 13 October 2025. The city-state will present ‘The Dream Sphere’ at the Singapore Pavilion, encapsulating the theme ‘Where Dreams Take Shape’—a testament to the nation’s innovative, sustainable, and resilient spirit.
The Singapore Pavilion, designed to inspire visitors and explore the infinite possibilities of dreams, will feature interactive multimedia and art installations from talented Singapore artists. These exhibits aim to demonstrate how the collective spirit of Singaporeans, characterized by tenacity, innovation, and imagination, has the power to transform aspirations into reality.
His Excellency Ong Eng Chuan, Singapore’s Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Singapore Pavilion, highlighted the robust and multifaceted ties between Singapore and Japan. He noted that Singapore’s proactive involvement in the Expo, including being the first country to start construction on its pavilion, underscores the strong bilateral relationship. The participation also coincides with the approaching 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations in 2026.
The Singapore Pavilion will not only showcase Singapore’s bold and contemporary spirit but also highlight its cultural, artistic, and gastronomic aspects, further enhancing its appeal as a top travel destination.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) leads the project, with Carrie Kwik, Executive Director of World Expo and Special Project at STB, emphasizing the Expo as a critical platform for showcasing Singaporean enterprises and talents globally. This event will also provide opportunities for local companies to enhance their brand visibility and forge potential business collaborations.
The architectural and experiential elements of the Singapore Pavilion are being developed by Kingsmen Exhibits and DP Architects, leading firms known for their creativity and global recognition.
With the theme of the Osaka Expo being ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, the event is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors over 184 days. This will be Japan’s third Expo, having previously hosted in 1970 and 2005, setting the stage for a monumental showcase of global innovation and cultural exchange.
