On January 27, 2025, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto made an official visit to Malaysia, where he reaffirmed Indonesia’s strong support for Malaysia’s leadership of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2025. The visit, hosted by Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, highlighted the growing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
During discussions with Malaysian leaders, President Prabowo expressed his confidence in Malaysia’s ability to guide ASEAN through the challenges the region faces.
