BANGKOK, Thailand — In a significant move to bolster regional cybersecurity, Singapore-based companies have established strategic partnerships with Thai industry leaders during the CyberSec Asia 2025 event. This collaboration aims to address escalating cyber threats through shared expertise and resources.
The Cyber Security Business Mission to Thailand, co-organised by the CyberSG TIG Collaboration Centre and SGTech, served as a pivotal platform for these engagements. The mission featured 12 Singaporean cybersecurity firms under the SG Pavilion, facilitating 61 one-on-one business matching sessions and engaging with 19 Thai organisations. Notable interactions included meetings with the Royal Thai Police’s Cyber Crime Investigation Division and Siam Cement Group’s innovation arm, WEDO.
CyberSec Asia 2025, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, attracted over 4,000 attendees, 140 exhibitors and sponsors, and more than 100 esteemed speakers. The event underscored the importance of cross-border collaboration in fortifying digital infrastructures. Air Vice-Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), emphasised, “Over the past year, we’ve witnessed a surge in sophisticated cyber threats—underscoring the urgent need for collective action.”
Thailand’s commitment to cybersecurity is further evidenced by its leap to 7th place in the 2024 Global Cybersecurity Index, ascending from 44th position in 2020. This remarkable progress reflects the nation’s dedication to enhancing digital security and fostering international partnerships.
Benjamin Tan, CEO of INTFinity Consulting Pte Ltd, lauded the mission’s impact, stating, “This mission, led by SGTech, was immensely helpful in understanding Thailand’s cybersecurity market and meeting potential local partners.” Such testimonials highlight the mission’s success in creating meaningful business opportunities and strengthening regional cybersecurity networks.
The collaborative efforts between Singapore and Thailand at CyberSec Asia 2025 signify a proactive approach to addressing cybersecurity challenges. By uniting resources and expertise, both nations are poised to enhance their cyber resilience and contribute to a safer digital landscape in the ASEAN region.
