Singapore’s largest nocturnal festival returns with island-inspired art, lights and immersive night experiences.
SINGAPORE — The Singapore Night Festival (SNF) returns for its 16th edition from 22 August to 6 September 2025, transforming the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct into a glowing playground after dark. Organised for the first time by HeritageSG, this year’s festival coincides with Singapore’s 60th year of independence and carries the evocative theme Island Nights.
Across three weekends, festival-goers will explore how island heritage shapes the nation’s stories of connection and belonging. Audiences can look forward to the festival’s hallmark projection mapping artworks, night light installations, innovative experiential programmes and vibrant festival villages featuring food and retail offerings. These popular highlights blend familiar favourites with new experiences celebrating Singapore’s enduring ties to islands near and far.
Among the must-see installations is Sky Castle, a captivating installation by Australian studio ENESS. Situated at Cathay Green, the immersive work invites visitors to wander through rainbow-hued, inflatable arches that respond to movement with cascading colours and sound, symbolising hope. Over at Capitol Singapore in BBB, discover Kampong Chill by artist duo Sheryo & Yok — a peaceful retreat in the city centre designed as a pavilion for unwinding, offering moments inspired by the laid-back spirit of island life in Singapore.
