The Singapore Army and Indian Army concluded their 14th bilateral armour exercise in Jodhpur, reinforcing longstanding defence cooperation.

From 28 July to 3 August 2025, the Singapore Army and the Indian Army took part in the 14th edition of Exercise Bold Kurukshetra, a bilateral armour exercise conducted at Jodhpur Cantonment, India. Hosted by the Indian Army, the exercise saw participation from the Singapore Armed Forces’ (SAF) 42nd Battalion, Singapore Armoured Regiment, alongside India’s 340th (Independent) Mechanised Brigade and 1st Mechanised Infantry (I MADRAS).

The week-long exercise included a bilateral command post exercise and professional exchanges between troops from both nations. Participants engaged in joint planning, operational simulations, and tactical discussions to strengthen interoperability and mutual understanding.

Colonel Andy Quek, SAF’s Deputy Chief Armour Officer, co-officiated the closing ceremony alongside Brigadier-General Pritam, Commander of India’s 340th Mechanised Brigade. Speaking at the event, Colonel Quek noted the value of the training: “Our troops engaged in rigorous map planning, shared tactics and procedures, and, most importantly, learned from one another in a meaningful and constructive way.”
