The performance also introduced the traditional percussion instrument Tifa, played by a percussionist accompanying the performers. The rhythmic sound of the tifa added a distinctive cultural dimension to the performance, contributing to the diversity of artistic expressions presented during the parade.

Indonesia’s participation was coordinated through the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore as part of ongoing cultural diplomacy initiatives. The performance highlighted Indonesia’s cultural heritage while contributing to the multicultural character of the Chingay Parade.

The participation also reflected broader efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties between Indonesia and Singapore through cultural exchange and public engagement.

The Embassy noted that cultural events such as the Chingay Parade provide opportunities to introduce Indonesia’s artistic traditions to international audiences and to encourage continued cultural collaboration between the two countries.
