Hundreds of Indonesians in Singapore gathered at the Indonesian Embassy to observe Eid al-Adha and strengthen community ties
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore (KBRI Singapore) held the Eid al-Adha 1447 AH prayer on 27 May 2026, attended by hundreds of members of the Indonesian community residing in Singapore. The gathering provided an opportunity for Indonesians abroad to observe the religious occasion while reinforcing community bonds and social cohesion within the diaspora.

The event was organised as a community and religious outreach programme hosted by Indonesia Embassy in Singapore. Bringing together Indonesian nationals from various backgrounds, the occasion served as a platform for collective worship and engagement among members of the Indonesian community living and working in Singapore.
During the event, the Embassy highlighted the importance of maintaining the values associated with Eid al-Adha, including sincerity, sacrifice, devotion and sharing. The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore encouraged members of the Indonesian community to continue fostering unity, mutual care and social responsibility in their daily lives.
The Embassy also emphasised the role of community engagement in strengthening solidarity among Indonesians overseas. The occasion provided participants with an opportunity to reconnect with fellow Indonesians and reinforce a sense of togetherness within the wider Indonesian diaspora in Singapore.

In addition to its religious significance, the gathering reflected the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to engage and support Indonesian nationals abroad through cultural, social and community-based initiatives. Such programmes help maintain connections among Indonesian citizens while promoting shared values and national identity.
