The discussions covered the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, legal cooperation, and emerging areas including artificial intelligence.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore’s Permanent Secretary (Policy), Mr Luke Goh, held a series of high level meetings in New Delhi to review bilateral cooperation and discuss priorities under the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During the 19th India-Singapore Foreign Office Consultations, Mr Luke Goh and Shri Rudrendra Tandon, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, reviewed progress under the roadmap for the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and exchanged views on regional and global developments.
In a separate meeting, Mr Goh met Dr S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, to discuss new opportunities in manufacturing, technology, food security, and energy flows. Mr Goh also met Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Misri, during which they exchanged views on advancing the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as regional and global developments.
Separately, Mr Goh met Dr Rajiv Mani, Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice. Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, technology enabled dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, legal education, capacity building, and preparations for the next Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting.
