Around 40 members of Singapore’s Hungarian community gathered to commemorate the founding of the Hungarian state and the legacy of St Stephen.
The Embassy of Hungary in Singapore hosted a celebration for Hungary’s National Day, observed on 20 August, with around 40 members of the Hungarian community in Singapore attending the occasion.
The National Day commemorated the founding of the Hungarian state and the legacy of St Stephen, Hungary’s first king. The gathering offered the community an opportunity to celebrate their shared heritage, traditions and history while reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones.
Conversations and Hungarian food added a taste of home to the evening as members of the community celebrated together in Singapore.
