During the meeting, the Ambassador reflected on Jordan’s relations with Singapore and outlined areas he hoped to advance during his tenure. He said Jordan valued its relationship with Singapore and expressed his appreciation for the country’s governance and social cohesion.

Describing Singapore as “a part of the miracle that is happening and the role model that is shown to the world,” Dr. Radaideh also highlighted what he described as the country’s “harmony and coherence” across different parts of society and its governance as a model from which other countries could learn.

Dr. Radaideh said Jordan and Singapore had developed “excellent strategic ties and bilateral relations” involving both government-to-government and people-to-people engagement.

He highlighted the visits of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Singapore, including the King’s 2019 visit and his subsequent visit in November 2025, as milestones in bilateral relations. Referring to his participation in meetings during the most recent visit, the Ambassador said he had witnessed “the warmness and the intimacy and the respect that we both enjoy.”

The Ambassador also noted Singapore’s trust in Jordan and its appreciation of Jordan’s perspectives, particularly concerning the region’s geopolitical circumstances. He pointed to educational exchanges as another component of the relationship, noting that nearly 100 Singaporean students were studying Arabic language and culture.

Dr. Radaideh said these existing links could also support greater engagement in business and economic opportunities between the two countries.

The Ambassador said he intended to build on initiatives established by his predecessors, particularly following the visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, during which approximately 11 memoranda of understanding were signed between Jordan and Singapore.

Healthcare was identified as one area for further cooperation. Dr. Radaideh said Jordan was seeking to develop cooperation with Singapore in the health sector as part of the advancement of healthcare in Jordan.

He also indicated that strengthening commercial engagement would remain an area of interest, building on the existing diplomatic and institutional relationship between the two countries.

Cultural cooperation was another focus of the discussion. Dr. Radaideh said the Embassy was seeking to increase opportunities to showcase Jordanian culture in Singapore, including through a proposed Jordanian film festival.

“We’re trying to do a sort of Jordanian film festival, a weekly film festival,” he said, noting that the initiative was still being processed.

Tourism promotion was also identified as a future priority. The Ambassador highlighted Jordan’s historical, cultural and natural attractions, including Petra, the Dead Sea, religious sites and Wadi Rum.

“Tourism is very unique,” Dr. Radaideh said, pointing to the diversity of ancient civilisations and cultures found in Jordan. He described Petra as a destination that “everybody would like to see in their lifetime” and also highlighted the Dead Sea, religious sites and Wadi Rum as significant attractions.

He said the Embassy would seek to identify ways to enhance tourism engagement with Singapore, describing it as “one of our priorities in the future.”

The meeting highlighted opportunities for continued Jordan-Singapore engagement across diplomatic, economic, healthcare, cultural and tourism sectors. Dr. Radaideh expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Singapore and said the Embassy would seek to contribute to the relationship as part of its role as a diplomatic mission.

“We’re blessed and happy to be in Singapore,” he said, adding that Jordan held “high respect” for Singapore’s people and leaders.

IN Diplomacy and the Embassy of Jordan are expected to maintain communication and explore opportunities for future editorial and institutional collaboration, supporting greater awareness of bilateral initiatives and exchanges between Jordan and Singapore.
