Singapore, 6 November 2025 — The Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit (APAIS) 2025, held from 4 to 6 November at Marina Bay Sands, featured a special showcase promoting the unique heritage and premium quality of Ceylon Tea. The initiative was sponsored by the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore, with support from the Sri Lanka Tea Board, as part of efforts to strengthen Ceylon Tea’s global recognition and presence in the regional agri-food market.

The event provided a dynamic platform for Sri Lanka to enhance its visibility within the Asia-Pacific agri-food value chain and reaffirmed Singapore’s position as a leading hub for innovation, trade, and collaboration in the global food and beverage industry. The summit served as an important bridge for countries and companies seeking sustainable and forward-looking partnerships in agri-food development.

The summit was inaugurated by Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms Grace Fu, who emphasised the importance of innovation and sustainability in transforming the food ecosystem. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Senarath Dissanayake, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore, and Ms Bhagya Abeykoon, Minister Counsellor (Commercial), alongside more than 800 participants representing over 40 countries, including business leaders, investors, and policymakers.

The inclusion of Ceylon Tea in the summit underscored the growing collaboration between Singapore and Sri Lanka in promoting sustainable agriculture, premium exports, and trade diversification. It also reflected Singapore’s continued role as a regional convenor for fostering global partnerships and showcasing quality agricultural products to international markets.
