Thailand and Singapore advance livestock trade cooperation with new approval for pork product imports
Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed a delegation led by Udom Jueachan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development (DLD), during an official visit focused on strengthening agricultural trade cooperation.

The delegation included Chaiwat Yothakol, Secretary-General of the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), and Kukrit Areepakorn, Manager of the Swine Producers and Processors for Export Association. During the visit, they held discussions with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), where they were received by Abdul Jalil.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in food trade and expanding export opportunities for Thai livestock products. Following the discussions, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Chargé d’Affaires to brief on outcomes and explore strategies for further market development.
A key outcome of the engagement was Singapore’s approval of imports of heat-treated pork blood products from Thailand. The decision reflects confidence in Thailand’s food safety standards and regulatory framework, while supporting efforts to broaden market access for Thai agricultural exports.
The visit underscores ongoing collaboration between Thailand and Singapore in the agri-food sector, with both sides expressing interest in strengthening trade ties and supporting sustainable growth in the livestock industry.
