Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Economic Community Mr Satvinder Singh delivered remarks at the opening of the ASEAN-India Bazaar 2026 in Jakarta. The event brought together entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), businesses and community representatives from ASEAN and India.
In his remarks, Mr Singh highlighted the positive momentum in ASEAN-India relations and noted growing cooperation in trade, investment, the digital economy, connectivity, sustainability and innovation. He also emphasised the importance of strengthening partnerships that support inclusive growth and regional development.
The bazaar provided a platform for participants to showcase products, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration. It also reflected the longstanding cultural and economic ties between ASEAN and India and reinforced efforts to strengthen engagement between stakeholders from both regions.
