
Rwanda’s Minister of Environment, Dr. Bernadette Arakwiye, met Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to Rwanda, H.E. Jaspal Singh, to discuss opportunities for closer collaboration in the environmental sector. The meeting underscored both countries’ shared commitment to advancing sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
Rwanda’s Minister of Environment, Dr. Bernadette Arakwiye, held a meeting with H.E. Jaspal Singh, Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation on environmental matters. The engagement reflected the growing partnership between Rwanda and Singapore in addressing sustainability priorities and promoting environmental resilience.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the environment sector. Their discussions centred on enhancing cooperation through the exchange of knowledge, expertise and best practices that support sustainable environmental management and long-term development objectives.

The dialogue also highlighted the importance of international partnerships in tackling shared environmental challenges. By fostering closer cooperation, Rwanda and Singapore aim to explore initiatives that contribute to climate resilience, environmental protection and sustainable resource management for the benefit of both nations.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Rwanda and Singapore to maintaining constructive bilateral relations and expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Strengthening environmental cooperation is expected to further support both countries’ efforts to advance sustainability and build a greener future.
