H.E. Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa to Singapore, has been recognised with the Women Leadership in Diplomacy Award at the inaugural Women Excellence & Young Achievers Awards 2026. The honour coincides with the start of South Africa’s Women’s Month, celebrating her contributions to diplomacy, women’s empowerment and international cooperation.
As South Africa marks the beginning of Women’s Month, the High Commission of the Republic of South Africa in Singapore has announced that its High Commissioner, H.E. Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe, has been recognised as one of the recipients of the inaugural Women Excellence & Young Achievers Awards (WEYAA) 2026. The awards ceremony was held on 1 August 2026, celebrating distinguished individuals whose leadership has made a meaningful impact across a range of sectors.
H.E. Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe received the Women Leadership in Diplomacy Award in recognition of her exemplary diplomatic leadership, steadfast commitment to advancing the empowerment of women, and significant contributions to fostering inclusive opportunities and strengthening global partnerships. The award reflects her dedication to promoting cooperation, dialogue and mutual understanding through diplomacy.
The Women Excellence & Young Achievers Awards are organised by Brandish Beats Production and Tavta Productions in partnership with SP Jain School of Global Management, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Atelier by the Bay, Royal Jewellers and Atos Wellness Group. The inaugural awards recognise outstanding women and young leaders who have demonstrated excellence in fields including diplomacy, healthcare, entrepreneurship, community development, academia, the arts, sport and STEM education.
The recognition comes at a particularly significant time as South Africa observes Women’s Month, an annual commemoration dedicated to honouring the courage, resilience and enduring contributions of women to the country’s struggle for freedom, democratic development and continued progress.
