Rwanda High Commissioner Innocent B. Muhizi visited the Singapore Institute of Technology to discuss collaboration in higher education, AI, and STEM skills development.
Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Innocent B. Muhizi, visited the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) in the Punggol Digital District, where he met with Jonathan Tay, Deputy Director of the Advancement Office, and Larissa Ann Tan, Senior Manager of the Advancement Office. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in higher education and skills development.
The visit formed part of the High Commission’s engagement with Singapore’s higher education institutions to strengthen academic and institutional partnerships. Held at SIT’s campus in the Punggol Digital District, the discussions centred on areas of mutual interest in education, innovation, and workforce development.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on potential avenues for collaboration in higher education, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills development. The discussions highlighted the importance of equipping future talent with the knowledge and competencies required for an evolving digital economy.
