The career diplomat took up her new posting representing Switzerland in Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
The Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore welcomed Ms Alexandra Baumann, who took up her post as Ambassador-designate of Switzerland to Singapore and Brunei Darussalam. She will formally present her credentials in due course.
With close to two decades of experience at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), Ms Baumann most recently headed its Prosperity and Sustainability Division, where she worked on foreign policy coordination, artificial intelligence and emerging technology issues. Her previous roles included serving as diplomatic adviser to the Swiss Finance Minister, alongside diplomatic postings in New York, Berlin and Bern.
