Indonesian Embassy in Singapore celebrates 78th Independence Day with a thrilling badminton tournament, auditions, traditional games, sports competitions, flag-raising ceremony, a vibrant party and bazaar, and a diplomatic reception, uniting the Indonesian community and fostering patriotism.

Kicking off the series of celebrations for the 78th anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with the Indonesian Diaspora, organized a badminton tournament for men’s doubles and mixed doubles at the Indonesian School of Singapore, equipped with three badminton courts.

The full-day badminton tournament attracted nearly 150 participants from various backgrounds, including students, professionals, Indonesian migrant workers (PMIs), and more. The event showcased the passion and talent of Indonesian badminton enthusiasts residing in Singapore.

The tournament provided a platform for participants to showcase their skills, foster sportsmanship, and build camaraderie among the Indonesian community in Singapore. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and competitiveness as the players displayed their agility, speed, and precision on the court.

In addition to the badminton tournament, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore has planned several activities to commemorate the Indonesian Independence Day. These activities aim to engage the Indonesian community in Singapore and strengthen their sense of unity and patriotism.
