Representatives of Kazakh communities across Asia will gather in Tokyo to strengthen regional cooperation and discuss the formation of a new Council of Kazakhs in Asian Countries.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Singapore has announced that the Small Assembly of Asian Kazakhs will take place on 28 May 2026 in Tokyo.
The event is being organised by the Japanese Kazakh Association and the Citizens Fund with support from the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Japan.
The gathering aims to strengthen cooperation among Kazakh diaspora communities across Asian countries by creating stronger institutional connections with Kazakhstan. Organisers said the meeting will help combine the potential of Kazakh communities in the region while encouraging cultural, humanitarian, and technological collaboration.
One of the key topics on the agenda will be the proposed establishment of the “Council of Kazakhs in Asian Countries,” which is expected to enhance coordination and interaction between Kazakh communities throughout Asia.
The programme will include an opening ceremony and plenary session focusing on cultural-humanitarian ties and IT cooperation. Participants will also discuss and consider the adoption of a document formally establishing the new council.
In addition to official discussions, the event will feature a national art exhibition, ethnocultural presentations, and a concert programme involving artists from Kazakhstan.
The assembly will be held at Minato City Center Libra in Tokyo and is expected to bring together representatives of Kazakh communities, cultural organisations, and regional partners from across Asia.
