The Diplomatic Corps Singapore, led by Dean of the Diplomatic Corps H.E. Agustín García-López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico to Singapore, hosted a Diplomatic Farewell Reception on 22 June 2026 at the Dutch Pavilion, Shangri-La Singapore.

The reception paid tribute to three distinguished Heads of Mission concluding their diplomatic assignments in Singapore: H.E. Sarah Ann McGrath, Ambassador of Ireland; H.E. Gabrielle Ann Rush, High Commissioner of New Zealand; and H.E. Hong Jin-Wook, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea.

The diplomatic community gathered to recognise their contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering international cooperation during their respective tenures.

In addition to the farewell ceremony, the Diplomatic Corps welcomed newly appointed Heads of Mission who have recently commenced their assignments in Singapore. They included H.E. Dr Anjani Sinha, Ambassador of the United States of America; H.E. Sheikh Jaber Duaij Khalifa Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait; and H.E. Uyanga Ganbold, Ambassador of Mongolia.

Their arrival reflects the continued renewal of Singapore’s vibrant diplomatic community and its commitment to strengthening international partnerships.
Held in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps and invited guests, the reception highlighted the spirit of friendship, collegiality and cooperation that underpins Singapore’s diplomatic engagement with the international community. The occasion served both as a tribute to distinguished service and as an opportunity to welcome new envoys who will further deepen ties between their respective countries and Singapore.
