Singaporeans can obtain a visa-on-arrival for a stay of up to 30 days in the Maldives.

SINGAPOREANS can enjoy the beauty and attractions of the islands of Maldives for a longer period as they can obtain a visa-on-arrival for a stay of up to 30 days in the Maldives. This visa is free of charge and can be extended for a maximum of 60 days, allowing a total stay of up to 90 days.

To be eligible for the visa-on-arrival, Singaporean visitors must have a valid ticket for their journey out of the Maldives. The issuance of the visa ultimately lies with the Immigration officer, and the length of stay granted may vary. Visitors are required to have a machine-readable passport (MRP) or a passport with a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), which is valid for at least another 6 months. They must also provide proof of pre-paid accommodation in the Maldives, sufficient financial means to cover their stay, and a return-flight ticket to their home country or an onward-flight ticket.
